Gardner discusses what makes Eastport's Independence Day celebration unique, including Old Home Week, the arrival of a U.S. Navy destroyer, one of Maine's largest Fourth of July parades, community traditions, tourism, and the volunteers who help transform the city into a destination for thousands of visitors each year.
